Young people of the Lal Sabuj Society have participated in various international conferences as representatives of Bangladesh. Among them, Tahsin Uddin, president of the Lal Sabuj Society, participated in the United Nations Youth Climate Conference held in New York in 2019. He joined the service as the only young representative of the country at the invitation of UNICEF.
In 2022, COP26 in Glasgow was joined by the Lal Sabuj Society’s then Climate Action Focal Parag Aman. At COP 27 in Dubai in 2023, the youth of Bangladesh will be represented by Al Mamun Rakib, the current Climate Action Focal of Lal Sabuj Society. Lal Sabuj Society President Tahsin Uddin and National Executive Board Executive Member Mostakima Rahman Binita went to Kathmandu, Nepal to participate in the Regional Youth Leadership Summit in 2024. In these events, they talk about the initiatives, problems, and possibilities of the youth in Bangladesh.
Our expansion into Nepal signifies our commitment to global cooperation and our belief in the power of grassroots initiatives to drive sustainable development. Through our involvement in the Youth Engagement in Democracy (YED) project, we had the privilege of connecting with Nepali youth and discovering shared goals and aspirations.
