Our Previous Projects

Mental Health for Teen

Partner name: Foundation for Women Possibilities (FWP)

Start date: July 2025
End date: September 2025

Location: Bangladesh

Summary: The “Mental Health for Teen” project aims to address the growing mental health challenges among adolescents in Bangladesh, where academic pressure, social media influence, family expectations, and lack of awareness often push teenagers to struggle in silence. With limited support from teachers and parents- who themselves often lack the skills to respond- teenagers face increasing risks to their overall well-being.

This initiative seeks to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and build sustainable support systems by directly engaging teachers, students, and parents. The project will organize interactive training for teachers to help them identify signs of distress, engage in supportive conversations, and connect students to proper support services. Alongside, awareness sessions will be conducted with students to strengthen their knowledge on mental health, promote self-care strategies, and encourage peer and adult support-seeking behaviors. Parents will also be oriented and trained to improve their understanding of adolescent mental health and to develop effective communication and supportive home environments.

By enhancing teachers’ capacity, equipping students with essential awareness, and involving parents in the process, the project will foster a holistic and community-backed ecosystem for adolescent mental well-being- ensuring teenagers receive early guidance, reduced stigma, and stronger support for their mental health.
