Youth in Climate Action’ Training Program Held in Mymensingh

On Tuesday, June 25, 2025, a day-long training program titled ‘Youth in Climate Action’ was held at the Mymensingh District Rover Scouts Hall Room. A total of 30 young participants from different upazilas of the district joined the program, all eager to play an active role in protecting the environment.

During the training, participants took part in both theoretical discussions and practical activities. Topics included the causes of climate change, its social and environmental impacts, and practical steps to address the crisis. The sessions also focused on eco-friendly living, reducing plastic use, tree plantation, and taking small local initiatives to bring positive change in the community.

The sessions were conducted by Mostakima Rahman Binita, an Executive Member of Lal Sabuj Society, who has been working on climate and environmental issues for many years. She said, “If we can build awareness among young people, it will be much easier to solve environmental problems at the local level.”

At the end of the training, certificates were handed over to all participants, which the organizers hope will inspire them to take more environment-friendly actions in the future. This training program played an important role in raising environmental awareness among youth and developing future leaders for climate action.
