A series of fire service and disaster preparedness trainings were conducted by Lal Sabuj Society teams in Barishal and Gazipur, building on similar training undertaken by the Feni Team a year ago to enhance youth skills in emergency response and community service.
The Gazipur Team took part in a similar training on 22 November, supervised by Rajendrapur Fire Service and Civil Defence, focusing on disaster preparedness, safety protocols, and rapid response techniques.
On 21 November, the Barishal Team organized a session for 25 volunteers under the guidance of Rabiul Al Amin, Station Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence, Barishal Sadar. Participants received hands-on instruction on fire safety, first aid, rescue operations, and the use of safety equipment, gaining practical knowledge to respond effectively in emergencies.
Following the success of these sessions, other teams of Lal Sabuj Society have also shown keen interest in participating and are taking initiatives to organize similar training programs in their districts.
These initiatives provide valuable opportunities for young volunteers to develop essential life-saving skills while promoting responsibility, teamwork, and community engagement.
