
To empower youth and enhance their skills, Lal Sabuj Society organized a special session on April 26. Implemented in collaboration with JAAGO Foundation Trust and Plan International Bangladesh. The session brought together 60 youth participants from the Dhaka division. Held at Manusher Jonno Foundation in Dhaka, the session focused on building young people’s capacity to challenge negative gender perceptions, attitudes, and stereotypes. It also emphasized the importance of raising awareness on gender-based notions, digital safety, media literacy, advocacy, influence building, and lobbying.
Faisal Iqbal, Human Resource Manager of Lal Sabuj Society, facilitated the ‘Introduction, Expectations, and Pre-Test’ session. The session on ‘Girls and Women’s Rights’ was conducted by Azizun Tama, Volunteer Coordinator of Lal Sabuj Society. Ismat Maksura Nashita, ‘Research Associate, led a discussion on gender stereotypes’. Additionally and the Co-founder of Activate Rights spoke about ‘Safeguarding and Digital Safety for Youth’.
