On 13 and 14 May, Lal Sabuj Society organized the Safeguarding and PSHEA Learning, Assessment & Action Planning Workshop at the MSB Learning and Development Centre in Dhaka. This workshop was conducted under the Space to Lead Project of Plan International Bangladesh, aiming to strengthen awareness and understanding of safeguarding and PSHEA (Protection, Safety, Health, Education, and Accountability) among participants.

Throughout the two-day session, participants engaged in activities designed to identify potential risks, conduct participatory assessments, and develop actionable plans to address safeguarding challenges. The workshop emphasized proactive strategies, practical risk management, and accountability measures, ensuring that participants gained both knowledge and hands-on experience in safeguarding practices.

By fostering discussions, group exercises, and scenario-based planning, the workshop encouraged active learning and collaboration. Participants were guided on how to implement safeguarding measures effectively within organizational settings, while also understanding their responsibilities in creating safe and inclusive environments.

Such initiatives play a crucial role in promoting safe, inclusive, and accountable practices across organizations. By equipping participants with practical tools and frameworks, the workshop contributes to building a culture of responsibility, awareness, and proactive intervention. It not only enhances participants’ individual capacity but also strengthens organizational systems to prevent and respond to risks related to child protection, safety, and wellbeing.

The workshop’s focus on participatory assessment and actionable planning ensures that safeguarding is not just theoretical but embedded into everyday practices. Programs like this support organizations in creating environments where safety, inclusivity, and accountability are prioritized, laying the foundation for sustainable and responsible operations.

Overall, the 13–14 May workshop marked an important step in empowering stakeholders to champion safeguarding and PSHEA practices, reinforcing a shared commitment to protection, awareness, and effective action.
