On December 9, Lal Sabuj Society’s Narayanganj team successfully conducted an impactful awareness session on creating a Lead-Free Bangladesh at Bidya Niketan High School.
The program was organized in collaboration with UNICEF, the Health Services Department, and the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), bringing students an important learning opportunity on public health and safety.
More than 28 students participated with enthusiasm as they learned about the dangers of lead exposure, its long-term health consequences, and the everyday sources through which lead can enter the body. Facilitators also provided practical guidance on preventive measures empowering students to recognize risks at home, in school, and in their surroundings.
The session emphasized the urgent need for collective action to reduce lead exposure in Bangladesh. Students engaged in discussions, asked questions, and expressed their commitment to spreading awareness within their families and communities.
Through initiatives like this, Lal Sabuj Society and its partners aim to build a healthier, safer environment for the next generation one informed student at a time.
