A day-long “Learn to Lead” leadership training was held for the Chattogram District Team of Lal Sabuj Society at S. Rahman Hall of Chattogram Press Club. The training brought together 30 young people with the aim of strengthening their leadership skills and encouraging them to take greater responsibility in volunteer and community-based activities.
Throughout the day, participants explored a range of topics including leadership, volunteerism, safeguarding, gender, empathy, effective communication and teamwork. Through interactive sessions, group activities, discussions and experience-sharing, the participants had the opportunity to reflect on different aspects of leadership and learn how these skills can be applied in real-life situations.
The training sessions were facilitated by Azizun Nahar Tama, Programme Coordinator of Lal Sabuj Society, and Asaduzzaman Joy, Content Creator. The facilitators guided the participants through practical discussions and activities focused on developing responsible leadership, working collaboratively with others, communicating effectively and creating safe and inclusive spaces.
The training also provided participants with an opportunity to reflect on their own leadership strengths and identify areas for further development. They actively participated in discussions, shared their experiences and perspectives, and raised questions throughout the sessions.
“Learn to Lead” is an initiative of Lal Sabuj Society aimed at strengthening leadership capacity among young people. Through such learning opportunities, young volunteers are encouraged to develop leadership skills, responsibility, empathy and the confidence to contribute to positive social change.
Leadership is not only about standing at the front; it is also about moving forward together with others. By creating spaces where young people can learn, ask questions and take responsibility, “Learn to Lead” continues to encourage them to build their own path of leadership and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
