On 2 June 2026, the Gazipur District Team of Lal Sabuj Society organized a compassionate community service initiative at Abdul Alim Sebashram, extending support and companionship to 28 elderly residents living at the shelter.

As part of the program, volunteers prepared and served home-cooked meals with care and dedication. The elderly residents and team members shared the meal together, creating a warm and family-like environment filled with respect and mutual appreciation. Beyond providing food, the event focused on spending quality time with the residents through conversations, storytelling, and moments of laughter.

During the visit, volunteers had the privilege of listening to the elderly residents’ life experiences, struggles, achievements, and cherished memories. Their stories reflected wisdom, resilience, and valuable lessons that inspired everyone present. These meaningful interactions helped strengthen the bond between generations and highlighted the importance of compassion and social responsibility.

The heartfelt blessings, affectionate words, and warm smiles of the residents deeply touched the volunteers. Their kindness and encouragement served as a powerful reminder of the responsibility we all share in caring for and supporting older members of our community.

This initiative further strengthened Lal Sabuj Society’s commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare. The experience encouraged volunteers to continue working for the dignity, well-being, and inclusion of vulnerable people in society.

Lal Sabuj Society believes that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference. The organization remains dedicated to promoting humanity, solidarity, and social development through volunteer-driven initiatives across the country.
