Amid rising concerns over severe air pollution in Dhaka, which frequently ranks among the most polluted cities globally during this season, Lal Sabuj Society organized a cultural and awareness program titled “Clean Air, Safe Life” on December 12 at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital.
The program was held with the support of Youth for Care, a platform of The Earth, with the objective of raising public awareness about the health risks associated with air pollution and promoting preventive measures.
Through a series of cultural performances including street drama, poetry recitations on environmental and public health themes, and public engagement activities the event highlighted the adverse impacts of air pollution on human health and the environment.
Speakers and performers emphasized that although air pollution cannot be completely eliminated, its harmful effects can be significantly reduced through increased awareness, responsible behavior, and collective action.
The organizers noted that initiatives combining culture and advocacy play an important role in engaging the public and encouraging informed responses to environmental challenges.
