Lal Sabuj Society, under the ‘Space to Lead’ project of Plan International Bangladesh, organized a two-day Organization Capacity Assessment (OCA) Workshop on September 9–10, 2026, at Ascott Residency, Baridhara, Dhaka.

The workshop brought together members of Lal Sabuj Society’s National Executive Board, management team, staff, and volunteers to assess the organization’s existing capacities, identify areas for further development, and explore practical approaches to strengthen its overall organizational effectiveness.

Throughout the two-day workshop, participants engaged in discussions and assessment exercises focused on different aspects of organizational capacity and development. The sessions provided an opportunity to reflect on the organization’s current practices, identify strengths and areas requiring improvement, and discuss strategies for addressing existing gaps.

The workshop was facilitated by Syeda Husne Kadery Mala, Programme Specialist, Plan International Bangladesh, and Kamrun Nahar Borna, Finance Specialist, Plan International Bangladesh. Their facilitation and technical guidance supported participants in understanding different dimensions of organizational capacity and identifying key areas for institutional improvement.

The OCA process emphasized the importance of effective governance, organizational management, accountability, internal systems, human resource development, volunteer engagement, and institutional strengthening for ensuring the sustainable growth of Lal Sabuj Society.

By bringing together leadership, management, staff, and volunteers, the workshop created a collaborative space for identifying organizational priorities and developing a shared understanding of the areas that require further attention and improvement.

The outcomes of the assessment will support Lal Sabuj Society in developing and implementing appropriate initiatives to strengthen its organizational capacity and enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of its work.

The workshop was organized as part of the ‘Space to Lead’ project, with the aim of supporting youth-led and youth-focused organizations in strengthening their institutional capacity and leadership.
