Lal Sabuj Society, in collaboration with BD Creation, organized mental health awareness sessions for women workers at two factory locations in Dashuria, Pabna, and Pubail, Gazipur.
A total of 110 women workers participated in the sessions, which aimed to raise awareness about mental health and promote greater understanding of emotional wellbeing in the workplace.
To ensure professional and effective facilitation, experienced psychologists conducted the sessions at both factory locations. The participants received practical guidance and information on common mental health challenges, emotional wellbeing, stress management, and ways to maintain a healthier state of mind.
The sessions provided a supportive and interactive learning environment where participants were encouraged to openly discuss their experiences, concerns, and everyday challenges related to mental wellbeing. The psychologists also addressed common misconceptions surrounding mental health and emphasized the importance of recognizing emotional difficulties and seeking appropriate support when needed.
For women workers, balancing professional responsibilities with personal and family commitments can sometimes create additional emotional and psychological pressure. The sessions therefore focused on practical approaches that participants could apply in their daily lives to manage stress, improve emotional resilience, and maintain their overall wellbeing.
The initiative reflects the importance of making mental health awareness and support accessible within workplace communities. By providing women workers with reliable information and practical tools, the programme aimed to strengthen their confidence in recognizing and addressing mental health challenges.
Through this collaborative initiative, Lal Sabuj Society and BD Creation continue to promote a more supportive and mentally healthy working environment where women workers can feel informed, empowered, and better equipped to take care of their emotional wellbeing.
