
A special awareness event titled ‘Plastic Market’ was organized in Pubail, Gazipur, on 16 August 2026, aiming to raise awareness about single-use plastic pollution and promote sustainable waste management practices.
The event took place from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Bhadun High School in Pubail, Gazipur. The initiative was organized by Lal Sabuj Society and sponsored by BD Creation.
The program brought together students, local residents, and community members to encourage responsible plastic waste management and promote environmentally friendly alternatives to single-use plastics.
During the event, participants learned about the harmful impacts of excessive plastic use and improper waste disposal. Discussions highlighted how single-use plastics contribute to environmental pollution, contaminate land and water, and pose serious threats to ecosystems and the overall environment.
Participants were encouraged to reduce their use of single-use plastic products and adopt sustainable alternatives in their daily lives. The event also emphasized the importance of individual responsibility and community participation in reducing plastic waste and maintaining a cleaner environment.
