Youth Debate on Civic Rights in Barishal

A day-long Inter University Debate Competition was held on 14 November at the open stage of Barishal Shilpakala Academy.
The event, organized by the Lal Sabuj Society, brought together talented debaters from four universities and colleges who presented their arguments on topics including Right to Information, Waste Management, and Road Safety.
Barishal University emerged as the winner, while Sher-e-Bangla Medical College secured the runner-up position. The competition highlighted youth awareness, leadership, and responsible participation, making it a truly impactful initiative.

The event was conducted with support from The Asia Foundation under Bangladesh’s Promoting Effective, Responsive, and Inclusive Governance (PERI) Programme, and with assistance from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the UK.
