Lal Sabuj Society recently conducted a one-day training program titled Youth in Climate Action across three districtsâGaibandha, Dinajpur, and Chattogram. This initiative aimed to educate and empower young people on the pressing issues of climate change and advocacy.
The training sessions brought together enthusiastic youth participants, eager to understand their role in combating climate change and influencing environmental policy. Mostakima Rahman Binita, National Executive Board Member of Lal Sabuj Society, led the training as the main facilitator. She guided participants through interactive workshops, group discussions, and presentations on topics such as the impact of climate change on local communities, sustainable practices, and the importance of youth-led advocacy.
A representative from Lal Sabuj Society emphasized the significance of engaging the youth in climate action, stating, The young generation holds the key to a sustainable future. By equipping them with knowledge and advocacy skills, we aim to create a ripple effect that inspires positive change in their communities.
Participants expressed their gratitude for the training, noting that it enhanced their understanding of climate issues and inspired them to take action. The program concluded with a call to the youth to leverage their voices for sustainable development and environmental protection.
