About Foyez Uddin
Background: Foyez Uddin was born in Noakhali, raised in the hilly area of Kaukhali and now resides in Chittagong where he is pursuing studies in development.
Inspiration for Volunteer Work: Foyez’s journey into volunteering began at a young age fueled by his energy and passion for helping others. Growing up in an area with limited opportunities for voluntary work, he was inspired to connect with various organizations to improve the skills of youth in his community. A friend’s activities further motivated him to join Lal Sabuj Society where he found a platform to contribute to the upliftment of hill communities.
Current Role: Foyez Uddin currently serves as the National Volunteer Coordinator Associate for Lal Sabuj Society. In this role, he guides and communicates with volunteers across the country ensuring that the society’s projects have a positive impact on the communities they serve.
Duration of Involvement: Foyez has been associated with Lal Sabuj Society for several years during which he has taken on various leadership roles.
Motivation for Joining: Foyez drives himself with a deep desire to improve the quality of life in his community and make a meaningful impact on society. His commitment to volunteerism and youth empowerment led him to join Lal Sabuj Society where he continues to work towards these goals.
Memorable Projects: One of Foyez’s most significant achievements was leading a team during a major flood relief effort. Under his leadership, the team successfully rescued 3,000 people and provided food for 11,000. This experience along with advanced training in journalism, leadership and first aid has been a cornerstone of his volunteer journey.
Skills and Experience: Through his work with Lal Sabuj Society, Foyez has developed expertise in first aid, disaster response and community leadership. His experiences have also given him deep knowledge in areas such as women and child protection making him a vital asset to the organization.
Enjoyment of Volunteering: Foyez finds fulfillment in his volunteer work particularly in helping others and tackling challenges like climate change and disaster response. He enjoys the sense of purpose and the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.
