Background: Sidratul Munthaha grew up in a vibrant city of Bangladesh, Khulna. She was captivated by the beauty of the nearby Sundarbans. Exploring the mangrove forests and witnessing the diverse wildlife left an indelible mark on her childhood. She searves as a research associate for Lal Sabuj Society,
responsible for helping the team with documentation & research works.Munthaha’s journey with Lal Sabuj Society began on February, 2021.

Inspiration for volunteer work: Her deep-rooted belief in the power of collective action drives her passion for volunteerism.She aspires to contribute to positive change within her community and collaborate with like-minded individuals to create a better world. She is particularly drawn to Lal Sabuj Society for reaching out to those who are marginalized or underserved, helping to amplify their voices and provide the support they need. Given the pressing challenges of climate change, she is eager to contribute to sustainable solutions and volunteer with Lal Sabuj Society working to mitigate its impacts and build a more resilient future.

Memorable Projects: Among the various initiatives, Munthaha particularly charishes events focused focused on making positive changes in the society as well as reaching out to those in need. Such as during Ramadan, “Sobar Jonno Eftar,” providing daily meals to underprivileged families. To address environmental concern the “Plastic Market” initiative, encouraging children to reuse plastic and promoting sustainable practices through tree planting. These projects have allowed me to contribute to the well-being of my community and make a positive impact on the environment.

Skills and expertise: Her experience working in Lal Sabuj Society has honed her communication and public speaking skills, enabling her to effectively convey ideas and engage with diverse audiences. She has also developed strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate teams, delegate tasks, and make sound decisions.
